Chadian Troops Capture Boko Haram Armory, Rescue Nigerian Soldiers

Chad has been most successful in fighting Boko Haram since its president declared war on the Islamic terror group in the Lake Chad region.

Chadian troops on Saturday captured the largest weapons store owned by Boko Haram, an Islamic terror group.

The troops also killed many Boko Haram terrorists in Magumeri, a local government area in Borno state, Northern party of Nigeria.

Killed Boko Haram Terrorists

Nigerian soldiers in the sect’s captivity were released during the assault by Chadian troops.

Chadian President Idriss Déby who vowed to crust Boko Haram, ordered the operation after the terrorist group killed more than 70 soldiers.

Killed Boko Haram Terrorists

The President of Chad had said Nigeria was absent in fighting Boko Haram, but the Nigerian government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari continued to insist that they had “defeated Boko Haram” despite worsening attacks and killings by terrorists in the northern part of Nigeria.
