Nigeria: 1,015 Boko Haram Terrorists Killed In Almost 2 Months — Army Chief

MAIDUGURI — At least 1,015 Boko Haram terrorists have been killed in military operations in Borno and Yobe states in northeastern Nigeria, said the military chief, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.

“we have neutralized 1,015 Boko Haram terrorists in our different operations and arrested 84 Boko Haram informants and couriers, thereby tightening the blockage of logistics to the terrorists,” Gen. Buratai said.

The army chief who spoke Sunday at an Eid al-Fitri lunch for injured soldiers Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state in northern Nigeria, said the country had achieved great success in the fight against Islamic terrorists.

Buratai said “We’ve succeeded in dislodging Boko Haram from their camps… This led to Boko Haram attacking some communities in search of medicine to treat their wounded colleagues”.
