Nigeria: 74 Dead In Attack By Suspected Herders In Sokoto Villages

On Wednesday, an attack left at least 74 people dead in villages in Nigeria’s northern State of Sokoto.

Among those killed are women and children.

Many people were also injured in the attack, which residents said was carried out by armed herders who attack farmers for preventing them from grazing on their farmland.

The affected villages are; Garki, Dan Aduwa, Kutama, Kuzari and Masawa.

Residents of some of the affected villages have fled for fear of further attacks.
