Insecurity: Protesters Burn Buhari Billboard In Katsina, Nigeria

KATSINA — A billboard with a photo of President Muhammadu Buhari was burned on Tuesday in northern Nigeria’s Katsina state as furious residents protest gunmen attacks and killings in the country.

Insecurity has worsened in Nigeria since 2015 after Muhammadu Buhari won the presidential election.

In addition to the attacks and killings perpetrated by Islamic terrorist group – Boko Haram, thousands have been killed by gunmen who residents say are Fulani herders and other jihadists.

Hundreds of Yan Tumaki residents who demonstrated on Tuesday blamed the federal and state governments for the wave of insecurity.
