Police said Maothiah Thabane, a former first lady in Lesotho, was arrested on Wednesday for the murder of her husband’s previous wife, former Prime Minister Thomas Thabane.
Maesaiah Thabane was charged with ordering the murder of her love rival Lipolelo Thabane, who was shot near her home in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho, in June 2017.
Maesaiah Thabane was released on bail in February.
The Lesotho Court of Appeal revoked her bail last week on the grounds that the procedure had not been followed correctly when her bail was granted.
The date of a new bail application has been set for June 6.
Thomas Thabane, a suspect in the murder, who resigned as Prime Minister last month, denies any involvement and has yet to be formally charged.
